Police academy motivation

Those movies show off a wide main cast. Whites, blacks, asian. Small, large. Thin, fat. Ugly or beautiful looking. Over all an odd gang that somehow work together. Had they all been whites and 'beautiful' there wouldn't have been the great movie franchise that it is and, most, love to watch.
And should someone be a bigot (usualy the side villian) they are always put in their place at the end and the odd gang always makes fun of them through out the movie.
So yeah, these movies knew that diversity is a great thing!


Now I don't think the movie creators thought of it that way but... oh well
